Meet Dannielle, our wonderful all-rounder. She always has a happy smile and is lovely with our customers. It is always a great day for everyone when she’s working!
What’s your favourite pizza topping?
I love king prawns and rocket and lots of chilli and I always have garlic mayonnaise on it.
What do you want to be doing in five years?
I’ll have converted my own campervan and I’ll be travelling and working on the go.
What’s one of your earliest memories?
I have a really poor memory so probably last week.
If you could pick one thing you’d change in the world, what would it be?
I’d get rid of any kind of animal cruelty. There’s loads of other things but that’s the first one that came to mind.
What’s your most public secret?
That I have mayonnaise on my roast dinner.
Do you think climate change is real?
Yes, I do.
What’s the best present you’ve ever given someone?
I love doing homemade stuff so I tend to do pet portraits for people, not that I’m a great artist.
What’s the best present you’ve been given?
My family signet ring. My grandfather gave it to me for my 18th birthday. Traditionally it’s something given to the men but my Mum doesn’t let anyone say that males can have something she can’t, so she got one for her 21st birthday. I managed to barter my grandfather down to 18.
What was your first job?
I was a rock climbing instructor. Those who can’t do, teach :D
Where do you buy your fruit and veggies from?
As much as I can, from the Farm Gate Market on a Sunday. I try and buy locally as much as possible. It’s one of the things I love about Tasmania.
What’s your favourite Tasmanian animal?
I love the echidnas. I think I’d quite like my life to go at an echidna’s pace.
What’s it like working in the horticultural industry in Tasmania?
It’s great – I love it. I love being outdoors although the Tassie weather can be questionable. I’ve had a great time working on the farm.
What’s something that you find annoying?
People chewing loudly, especially my brother.
What do you like to do with blueberries?
I like to bake with them. My favourite is a lemon and blueberry loaf cake with cream cheese frosting.
